Blouberg beach
Blouberg beach is located about 15 kilometers north of the center of Cape Town and is the place to take the most beautiful photos of Table Mountain. It is located on the cool Atlantic Ocean and the wind that is usually present here provides pleasant coolness in the warm summer.
The Battle of Blaauwberg took place here in 1806, with the English conquering the Cape Colony from the Dutch.

Blouberg annually attracts large numbers of visitors from home and abroad for the beautiful view of Table Mountain, Table Bay and Robben Island. Furthermore, there is a lot of entertainment on the beach and a popular place to surf. You will also find Kite surfers here a lot because of the good waves.
The Bloubergstrand area falls under a Marine Nature Reserve and diving and fishing for the Cape rock lobster and mother-of-pearl is prohibited here. If you want to go fishing for local fish such as galleon, you need a permit for that. Fortunately, the local white mussels, a local delicacy, and other marine animals are also delicious if you haven’t caught them yourself! You will find a variety of restaurants here, many with delicious fresh seafood on the menu.
Seasonal you can see different whales and dolphins here and also the Cape fur seals are often seen here.
