Thank you to South Africa specialist for helping put together a trip to RSA for a family reunion a bit short notice 6 weeks before the trip. Even though this was not completely a holiday, we had help with flights, car rental, airport hotel, and a mini break 5 days in the Magaliesberg mountains (close to Pretoria). Our travel agent was very helpful in finding flights and making suggestions with the travel itinerary. Thanks to South Africa specialist a lot of stress was taken out of organizing the trip and we could concentrate on the family. It was also very convenient to pay everything up front directly in Euros. The detailed information on the website and the promise of support during the trip (luckily not needed) was reassuring. Four out of 5 stars for service and response time only because at one point my email landed in the junk folder and did not get picked up – I called after a few days because there was no response. Equally, some things such as agreeing the long haul flights could probably be better handled over the phone. All together a very positive experience, and I will use the company in the future when traveling to South Africa. Thank you so much!

Excellent advice, information and planning of our trip to South Africa even on short notice and despite the difficulties with Covid. We enjoyed our trip tremendously. Everything worked out perfectly and there were no extra charges or hidden fees. We needed some assistance during the trip to get the PCR test for return flight and we received quick advise and help with booking an appointment to get the test done. Also thanks for this. From the first contact we were assigned a consultant (Emmy Schermers) who was consistently helpful and prompt in her replies to our questions. We dealt only with Emmy who was able to organise our hire vehicle and campsites. It was very reassuring to have just one person to deal with who was familiar with our wants and needs. We phoned Emmy a few times to talk things over but mainly we communicated by email – it all worked very well.
We had done some research before we contacted Zuid-Afrika and had a rough itinerary worked out. Emmy was able to give some very useful suggestions which we were able to consider and alter our plans as necessary. She booked all our accommodation for us for a very reasonable fee. She also produced a printable itinerary, including vouchers for all our campsites.
Without Emmy’s advice and help I am confident the trip would have been much less successful. We started the process in January for a trip in September, this might seem premature when booking campsites but even by March some of the more popular sites in Etosha were nearly full. We saw several people being turned away at campsites – it did not look fun. The only disadvantage in booking so long ahead is that you are committed to your itinerary, but we were glad we had done it that way.
