Other insurance information

South Africa Specialist tries to make it as easy as possible for you to take out insurance. Unfortunately, the insurance world is not always that simple in practice. If you have any questions about this, do not hesitate to contact us.

There are many rules that we must adhere to in order to offer insurance. You can read more about this below.

Premium limit:
Does the booked trip last less than 3 months? In that case the maximum premium (excluding insurance tax and policy costs) may not exceed € 200 per person per insurance. This means that we cannot conclude a short-term cancellation with a travel sum of> € 3,635 per person. For an all-risk cancellation, the maximum amount is € 2,850.

It is possible to supplement a continuous cancellation insurance with a short-term cancellation insurance. You can therefore purchase several insurance policies per trip, with the premium limit per insurance policy. The maximum amount to be insured then becomes € 1,500 / € 3,000 continuously + € 3,635 short-term. The insured travel sum per person can thus amount to a maximum of € 6,635. With the all-risk this is € 5,850.

Does the booked trip last longer than 3 months? Then the maximum premium is € 600 per insurance pro rata per year. Example: you travel for 9 months and you take out insurance for this; the maximum premium is then € 450.

Do you want to take out short-term insurance for more than € 200 premium per person per insurance? Then this will have to be done through an insurance office. We can mediate for you in this (in collaboration with Faber insurance).
