Hoedspruit
Hoedspruit is located in the Limpopo province and lies on the border with the Kruger National Park. It is centrally located in the lowveld and that area is better known here as the Valley of the Elephants. The beautiful location and the climate, which is attractive all year round, has led to a bustling tourist spot where the visitor will lack nothing. Not only accessible by road and rail, but also by plane.
With the Olifants River and numerous tributaries, this area not only has a great attraction for people but of course also for African Wildlife! The Big Five are not the only animals here, but they are the most famous to look for. And that is not the only attraction here, the beautiful breathtaking landscape always gives particularly beautiful views and vistas. Mountains, valleys, rivers and dams but also the history of this area is very worthwhile. You can go wild water rafting, mountain biking, quad biking and of course go on foot.
Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Center has daily guided tours to learn more about animals that are injured or poisoned and they also have a successful breeding program.
In the vicinity of Hoedspruit there are numerous game reserves where you can go on a safari. Think of the Balule Game Reserve, the Klaserie and Kapama Game reserve and of course the world famous Kruger National Park are just steps away and await your visit.
