You spend the night in fascinating national parks and small villages. Enjoy the West Coast, desert-like areas with special vegetation and animals, waterfalls and the impressive Cedar Mountains with unique rock formations and rock paintings during this trip.
You drive your own 4×4 vehicle and that is a good thing, because the unpaved roads can sometimes be a challenge. This trip is for lovers of peace and nature who are not afraid of some adventure.
This trip is ideal for true adventurers! It offers you a traditional African safari experience. During part of the journey you will be accompanied by a professional and experienced guide, but you will always drive your own 4×4 vehicle with camping equipment. You camp four nights in Big Five reserves (there are no gates) and you sleep in the roof tent (s) of your vehicle.
You drive the Mafefe trail in Wolkberg, the Luvuvhu 4×4 trail and the western part of the African Ivory Route.
Note: This is an adventurous journey and experience driving 4×4 trails is important as the routes can be very challenging. You also have to take care of your breakfast, lunch and dinner yourself. This is definitely a special trip! You drive a remote 4×4 vehicle through remote areas in South Africa, Eswatini (Swaziland) and Lesotho. However, there is guidance from a professional guide in his own vehicle and technical assistance in the event of a breakdown. With this trip you get all the benefits of an off the beaten track 4×4 trip, but with the certainty that there is help when you need it.
You drive through wildlife reserves in search of wildlife, the natural beauty of Eswatini (Swaziland) and the historic battlefields. You will also drive the spectacular Sani Pass and through the untouched mountain landscape of Lesotho.

An unforgettable experience in the beautiful nature of Botswana led by excellent guides. You will camp in double tents in the Okavango Delta and the Moremi Game Reserve in the north-west of Botswana. For seven days you live with the birds and wild animals such as elephants and hippos. All meals, safari activities and transfers from Maun are included, so you don’t have to worry about anything. Enjoy nature from the water, by 4×4 safari vehicle and on foot.
The next 9 days you will go on safari in Botswana. You go camping, but just a little bit differently! The camp is set up for you at every destination.You sleep in a 3×3 m dome tent with real beds, bed linen, a bedside table with a light, your own ‘bush shower’ and a chemical toilet. When you leave, the camp is dismantled for you again. So you don’t have to think about anything yourself. The excitement and charm of wild camping, but comfortable when staying overnight in a lodge or tented camp.

During this trip you will visit amazing game parks such as Moremi, Savuti and Chobe Game Reserve where a wide variety of wild animals and birds can be found. You can also enjoy the tranquility of the Okavango Delta, the vast Makgadikgadi Salt Pans and the roaring of the Victoria Falls.
Long distances are covered during this journey, but fortunately the vehicle is equipped with air conditioning and comfortable seats. Along the way, you can exchange experiences with your fellow travelers over a drink while watching the landscape glide by. Sometimes you will encounter dirt roads or animals along and on the road, it is all part of the game and part of the adventure!

An adventurous trip for the 40+ active and healthy traveler who loves the nature and wildlife of Africa. During this trip you will visit a variety of national parks in Botswana including the vast Makgadikgadi Pans, the water-rich Okavango Delta and wildlife parks such as Moremi, Chobe, Khama Rhino and the Tuli Block. You also cross the border for two days to Zimbabwe to view the huge Victoria Falls. During this trip you mainly sleep in (dome) tents with stretchers, but these are stored for you by the camp management. The guides also ensure that meals are prepared and the camp is tidy. So you only have to enjoy!
The travel schedule below is for travel in 2020. If you travel in 2019, this trip will count for 14 days (the first night in Johannesburg is not part of the travel program).
