To the east of Knysna, on the cliffs of the Atlantic Ocean, an 18-hole Championship course extends here. Built with the Gleneagles in the Scottish Highlands and Pebble beach on the Monterey coastline in mind, you will find endless fairways, fynbos and numerous bunkers here. The terrain is not easy to walk on and there are ‘panic golfcarts’ available for all golfers! There are 5 different Tee-off places on each hole, which makes it comfortable for players of all levels. The 3 holes laid out on the cliffs overlooking the ocean are the most special and also the most difficult holes. Don’t hit too hard and ‘out of bounds’, because then your ball will disappear over the cliffs …

Plettenberg Bay, Plettenberg Bay Golf Club

A magnificent golf course in a beautiful green environment that you will remember!
In 2000 the golf course was completely refurbished according to the USGA specifications. The new course shapes, slopes, bunkers and water features provide a challenging and still very beautiful golf course. The Parkland style of the golf course located within a nature reserve is the pride of the players of Plettenberg Bay.
The 470 meter long Par 5, 4th hole is extra long when the South Easter is blowing and then it is difficult for the average golfer to play the hole in 2 or even 3 times. The 11th hole, on the other hand, with its 110 meter length is the shortest in South Africa, so you can catch up on your score again!
