Day 3: Lesotho – Eswatini (B, L, D)
At the end of this day you have been in no fewer than three different countries! The final destination for today is Eswatini.

The kingdom of Eswatini is ruled by King Mswati III and the country is particularly known for the fascinating culture of the Swati and the typical ‘Beehive’ huts. The landscape is also unique: from savannas in the east to rain forests in the northwest.

You will cross the border in the late afternoon. From the border it is a short drive through the capital Mbabane to Hlambanyatsi Pine Forest.

Accommodation: Foresters Arms

Day 4: Eswatini (B, L, D)
After breakfast you will leave for a unique visit! You are going to the second largest monolith in the world: Sibebe Rock. Only Uluru (or Ayers Rock) in Australia is larger. Included activity : Sibebe Rock walk, visit market and souvenir shops.

Day 5: Eswatini – Maputo, Mozambique (B, L)
Today you will drive along the main road that runs through the Royal Hlane National Park, to the border with Mozambique. Again you see a very different Africa! Different cultures with British and Portuguese influences. In the afternoon you arrive in the capital Maputo, where you will stay the next night. You transfer to a local bus and enjoy a city tour. Tonight’s dinner is for your own account.

Accommodation: Villas Das Mangas
Included activity: city tour Maputo
Optional activities: dinner

Day 6-7: Maputo – Inhambane, Mozambique (B, L, D)
You leave the city behind and drive along the coast to the coastal town of Maxixe. Here you go on the water, accompanied by local guides, and take a traditional Dhow cruise to the port of Imhambane. Here your Drifters guide is waiting for you again!

Once back on land you will visit a local busy market in Imhambane before being brought to your lodge for the next two nights. Your lodge is located on the beach and you have enough time to relax, snorkel and sunbathe. Or perhaps a wonderful beach walk! But Imhambane is particularly known for the beautiful underwater world! So you can optionally also make a nice dive here!

Included activity: Dhow Cruise from Maxixe to Inhambane
Optional activity: diving, snorkeling, fishing

Day 8: Inhambane – Xai Xai, Mozambique (B, L, D)
After a quiet start, leave Inhambane behind you and drive along the coast to the next coastal town of Xai Xai. This was once one

important port of Portugal, now it is a quiet holiday town.

Your accommodation for the coming night is a remote resort that is literally hidden among the dunes. You have the rest of the afternoon at your leisure.

Accommodation: East Africa/Sunset Beach
Optional activity: snorkeling

Day 9: Xai Xai, Mozambique – Kruger National Park, South Africa (B, L, D)
An early departure today, because there is a long trip on the program. You drive through the remote Limpopo plain with here and there a village to the border with South Africa.

Your final destination today is the world famous Kruger National Park! This is the habitat of many wild animal species, including the famous Big Five (elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard). Once you cross the border you will drive through the park at a leisurely pace so that you may already be able to spot some animals! Keep your camera handy!

Tonight you will pitch your tent for the first time. Before you retreat to your tent and fall asleep with the sound of the bush in the background, enjoy a delicious dinner around the campfire.

Accommodation: Kruger Park Rest Camp – dome tent
Included activity: game-drive through Kruger National Park

Day 10: Kruger National Park, South Africa (B, L, D)
Another early start today. You can watch the sun rise while enjoying a delicious cup of coffee. Then you tidy up your tent and spend almost the entire day in the park, looking for wild animals! Along the way you stop and enjoy a picnic lunch.

You then continue to the northern part of the park, where cheetahs can be found. Keep your eyes open and your camera ready. Who knows, you might see these beautiful animals. Late in the afternoon you leave the park via the Pafuri gate and drive to your accommodation near the gate.

Accommodation: Not yet known
Included activity: game-drive door Kruger National Park

Day 11: Kruger National Park, South Africa – Great Zimbabwe Ruins, Zimbabwe (B, L, D)
An early departure today, because you have a long drive ahead! In the morning you cross the border to Zimbabwe over at Beit Bridge and then continue on to Masvingo and Great Zimbabwe.

There is a mysterious vibe to these beautifully preserved ruins and your local guide will tell you all about the history of the people who lived here and the impressive buildings during a walk.

You will camp overnight near the ruins.

Day 13: Matobo – Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe (B, L, D)

You will arrive at your camping spot for the night around lunchtime. After you have had lunch and set up the camp, you make a game drive or game walk and start looking for elephants and other animals.

The camping site for tonight overlooks a water hole where many animals come to drink.

Accommodation: Ivory Lodge – campsite
Included activity: game-drive or walk

Day 14-15: Hwange National Park – Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe (Dag 14: B, L , dag 15: B)
The last bit of driving today to the final destination of the trip Victoria Falls. These waterfalls are also called ‘Mosi O Tunya’, or ‘the smoke that thunders’. It becomes clear why they call the waterfalls that way if you can already see the spray from the distance (the smoke) and the water roar (the thunder). During a visit you can view the waterfalls from different vantage points.

You can do various things during your stay. You can visit a tribal village or souvenir market or undertake one of the many adventurous and exciting activities. How about a bungy jump, rafting or a gorge swing? But also the less exciting but beautiful sunset cruise is possible? Or a spectacular helicopter flight? There are plenty of options and you will not be bored.
