The nine luxury bush villas at the main lodge each have a private infinity pool, viewing deck, private sala (thatched outdoor day bed area), lounge, fireplace and full bathroom with both inside and outside showers. Each villa has a private boma where meals can be served, ideal for special occasions. The tented camp is built in colonial safari-style, offering an authentic yet luxurious bush experience. The five luxury tents have viewing decks and en-suite canvas bathrooms. Public facilities at the tented camp include a dining tent, a boma area, and a sala consisting of an ‘open-air’ lounge with magnificent views of the reserve and a splash pool. A fifth tent was recently added to the tented camp offering, which features a king-sized bed, a fan, a bath and an outdoor shower. The tented camp has now been equipped with a generator which will power the luxury tents for a few hours each day.
Guests will now be able to charge cameras and phones in the privacy of their tents. The Honeymoon Tent offers a sophisticated mix of romance, privacy and refined comfort in the heart of the African bush. The Honeymoon Tent features a king-sized bed in a spacious bedroom, and a comfortable separate lounge area for relaxation. The honeymoon tent is air conditioned for comfort against KwaZulu-Natal’s humid summers. A highlight of the tent is the outdoor shower and Jacuzzi which has spectacular panoramic views of the 14000-hectare reserve. The Royal Private Villa was conceptualised and crafted for Swedish investor Dan Olofsson and his family and has now been made available to the public. Fit for royalty and surrounded by expanses of African bush, the Royal Private Villa can accommodate ten guests in five luxuriously appointed suites (three queens and two doubles). The exclusive-use Royal Private Villa welcomes family and groups of friends to enjoy the luxury and privacy of this five star home away from home.
We have added Rhino Tracking to our activity programmes. Guests can now actively contribute to conserving the rhinos by joining our dedicated Rhino Monitoring Team who daily locate and record data on our black and white rhinos. Please contact Zuid-Afrika Specialist for prices. We have introduced a Conservation Levy which will be added to each guest’s stay. Clients can pay this at the lodge. This levy is essential in the fight against poaching, and to support the many other activities that preserve our wildlife for future generations. The R150 per person per stay conservation levy has not been included in the rates and will be added to the guest’s account.
