Iketla Lodge is a small, luxury 4-star country lodge located near the Blyde River Canyon. It is the ideal base from which to explore the Panorama Route or as a stop over en-route to the Kruger Park. Superb personal service, a convivial atmosphere and a maximum of 16 guests per night (12 years and older), ensures that you can live the meaning of “Iketla”  “to relax”. Relax around the pool, have a drink at the “Shebeen Bar” or take a walk on the 540 ha private nature reserve. All trails are well-marked and safe but you can also be accompanied by a guide at no additional cost. Some game species roam free and the birdlife is exceptional. The lodge is located on a ridge with spectacular views of the mountains and valley.  Accommodation is offered in 8, spacious and free-standing stone cottages. The cottages have en-suite bathroom facilities as well as private, outdoor showers. Cottages have private patios with a view, tea / coffee making facilities and roof fans. Our “Romance Chalet” offers just that little more for a special occasion – whether you are on honeymoon or celebrating an anniversary, birthday or if you are just very romantic. Even more spacious than the other chalets, the “Romance Chalet” offers a bath with exquisite view into the bush and a larger open air shower. Very secluded and idyllic! Traditional South African food is served. If the weather permits, dinner is taken around the campfire in the Boma. The lodge also has a Swimming Pool with loungers overlooking the valley.
