Safari through the Kruger Park in an open 4×4

The journey begins in Johannesburg: You will be picked up at your hotel or at the airport between 6.a.m and 7 a.m. The journey to the Kruger National Park can begin,on the way you stop to stretch your legs, etc. You enter the southern part of the park and from the moment you go through the fences, game spotting can begin! At one of the camps, for example Pretoriuskop, lunch is stopped.

Up early! Early in the morning you have the best chance of spotting as much wildlife as possible. The gate opens at 6 AM and then the game drive can begin. Most rangers have the eyes of a hawk and discover wildlife what you might not see otherwise. Along the way you will stop at a picnic area to enjoy a ‘bush breakfast’ there.

On the grassy plains you can see antelopes and zebras and with a bit of luck a lion, leopard or rhino. A stop is made at water places and dams where animals often come to drink at the end of the afternoon. Halfway through the afternoon you will return to the camp where you will have time to relax. Tonight after dinner there is a Night Drive on the program where you go looking for nocturnal animals in the dark. This game drive is led by a National Parks guide. Enjoy this special experience and especially look up at the impressive starry sky!

Today you are leaving for the second overnight address. This can be, for example, Satara, but also Lower Sabie or Skukuza if you started in another rest camp. You will take all your luggage on this safari, so make sure you have not packed too much in advance! You leave early again to be able to use the best hours of the day to spot game.

It is a special spectacle to see the lions ripping the flesh off the bones. You may also see a curious hyena trying to eat a portion or a jackal!

At lunchtime you will arrive at the next camp. You can use the restaurant here for a nice lunch (not included) or buy something in the store. In the afternoon you are free to do whatever you want. Of course you can climb on board the safari vehicle again in the afternoon to spot wildlife until the gates of the camp close. But perhaps you prefer to relax in the camp this afternoon. Dinner is again served in the restaurant around 7 p.m.

On the day you have a morning game drive and an afternoon game drive like on most other days.

A morning game drive is on the program again and afterwards you can have breakfast at the camp. Then it’s time to check out and drive back to the southern part of the Kruger Park where you will sleep the last night. For example, this can be the Pretoriuskop Camp where you arrive in the afternoon. Tonight you can enjoy dinner in the restaurant again and a final evening in the bush.

You will be returned to the OR Tambo airport in Johannesburg or your next accommodation. You will arrive in Johannesburg around 4 p.m.

Note: The mentioned camps (Lower Sabie, Pretoriuskop, Satara, Skukuza) are included in this tour as possible overnight camps. Depending on circumstances or availability, it is possible to switch to other camps of an equivalent level.

The travel schedule can deviate slightly from the planning in connection with. opening times, weather conditions and / or other circumstances.

This travel number includes a transfer from your hotel in Johannesburg / Pretoria or the OR Tambo airport. The pick-up transfers take place between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m.

NB You can also choose to be picked up from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport or Skukuza Airport and returned at the end of the fifth day. This way you may have more time for the game drives! Your safari guide will then ensure that you arrive at the airport on time.
