Glamping tour: ‘Kruger under canvas’

After arriving at Hazyview or at Skukuza airport, you will meet your ranger / guide and be taken to one of the camping pitches, such as Maroela near Satara Rest Camp or Balule near Olifants Rest Camp. You can already enjoy a game drive during the transfer from Hazyview or the airport in Skukuza to your campsite.

After arriving at the camp there is time to install, freshen up and relax around the campfire while waiting for a delicious typical South African braai. You will notice that you hear very different sounds in the bush in the evening than during the day. Your ranger will probably also tell you some exciting bush stories before retiring to your tent for the night.

The coming days have roughly the same program: early in the morning you will be woken up with coffee or tea with typical South African rusks. The animals are most active in the early morning and late afternoon, so you are most likely to spot many animals during an early game drive. Who knows, you might be lucky enough to see hunting lions or an elegant leopard! Along the way you stop at one of the rest camps or picnic spots in the park and enjoy a bush brunch. Around noon you will return to the camp and you can relax. Mid-afternoon you can enjoy a cup of coffee and / or tea before you head out for a game drive again.

After you have enjoyed a cup of coffee or tea with rusks you will return to Hazyview. Along the way you make a stop for breakfast. Optionally, you can also choose to do an exciting bush walk with one of the park rangers, after which you return to the camp for breakfast. You will then be taken back to Hazyview.

Please note: during the peak season and during South African holidays, the smaller campsites may be fully booked. In that case, we move to the larger campsites.
