Your “Prince Zulu” safari starts at the entrance of the Mkuze Game Reserve (Mkuze Gate) or in the town of Mkuze (you then drive to the park with the open safari vehicle, ask us about the possibilities). There are also possibilities (for an additional charge) to be picked up by air-conditioned van in Richards Bay or Durban.
Today a trip through the park awaits you where you can hear the wild animals and feel the spirit of Africa.
The Mkuze Game Reserve is located in the KwaZulu Natal province and since 1912 a protected area. In this 40,000 hectare reserve, which borders the Greater St. Lucia Wetlands Park, live among other things elephants, buffalo, rhinos, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, leopards and many types of antelopes. You will also find more than 420 different species of birds here. The varied landscape including savannah, sandy cliffs, wooded areas along the river and swamps, offers fascinating views every time.
Different game drives are offered that differ in time and price. You can choose from a 3, 6 or 9-hour game drive with a qualified ranger. For longer trips, a restaurant or shop in the park will stop for breakfast and / or lunch (for your own account). In the 4×4 vehicles there are rain coats / capes for the rainy days and if it gets cooler, you can snuggle under a nice warm plaid.
Please note: there is a minimum of 4 people for a safari trip (max. 10 people). With fewer than 4 participants the prices will be higher.
