Excursion: the best of Lesotho
Although this is a short trip, you will see a lot of Lesotho! You will explore the kingdom with an expert guide and a tough 4×4. You will of course drive the famous Sani Pass with beautiful views along the way and you will also visit a Basotho village, the highest mountain in southern Africa, dinosaur footprints, a local market, the Katse Dam and more. Meals are included in this travel package.

This first day has a full program right away, which is why you leave at 8 a.m from Underberg. With a 4×4 you climb the Sani Pass to Lesotho. While the guides drives up the winding rigged mountain pass, you can enjoy the fantastic view. You make a stop at Sani Mountain Lodge for a cup of coffee or tea and then continue on to a Basotho village where you can taste homemade bread and beer (optional).
Take a look at Thabana Nteltyana, the highest point in Lesotho with a height of no less than 3482 meters Via the Sehonghong valley, Mokhotlong and the Letseng diamond mine you travel to Oxbow Lodge and from there to Butha Butha where you will spend the night. Dinner is also served here and if time permits, visits the caves with bushman paintings (otherwise you do this the next day).
