4 day Organized Safari to the Kruger Park!

Between 6:00 AM and 6:45 AM you will be picked up from your accommodation near the airport (free transfer within 5 km radius from the airport).

Between 6:45 AM – 7:00 AM you will be picked up from the shuttle / bus terminal at OR Tambo international airport.

Note: We can reserve an accommodation for you prior to the trip e.g. Outlook Lodge OR Tambo. A more exact pick-up time will be communicated to you one day before departure.

You will then depart straight to Hazyview at 7:15 AM, where you will stay for the next few nights. Along the way you can already enjoy (part of) the Panorama Route. You will arrive at your accommodation by 12:00 PM.

You will be served a light lunch before leaving for your first afternoon safari! The guide will look with you for zebra, giraffe and antelope species and you may already see 1 of the Big Five! By the end of the afternoon you will arrive back at your accommodation where a delicious dinner awaits you!

The overnight stays take place at an excellent accommodation in the village of Hazyview not far outside the gates of the Kruger Park. You spend the night in double rooms with an en-suite bathroom and air conditioning. Your accommodation for this trip may be Sanbonani Resort or Umbhaba Lodge (subject to availability). Both accommodations are of excellent quality and have a swimming pool, restaurant and bar.

There will be no sleeping in for the next few days! Anyone who wants to increase the chance of seeing the Big Five should get up early! The gates of the Kruger Park open when the sun rises. This is also the time when lions and leopards are regularly seen. It is of course impossible to predict what you will see in the coming days. They remain wild animals! But one thing is certain: your guide will do his utmost to spot as many animals as possible.

Breakfast packages will be taken from the lodge and later the guide will stop at one of the camps in the park for breakfast. Make sure to bring warm clothes, it can be cold early in the morning in the open 4×4 safari vehicles. The guide will drive several routes through the park in search of wildlife. There will be stops at water places where you may see animals coming to drink. The lunches these days are for your own account and can be bought at one of the rest camps in the park.

You will arrive back at the lodge around 3:30 PM – 4:00 PM, where you can relax in your room or by the pool. Dinner is also included for these 2 days and after that you will can get to bed early.

For the game drives, use is made of the best safari vehicles currently driving around the Kruger Park. Normally there are benches in the 4×4 open safari vehicles, but your vehicle will have comfortable seats.

One last chance to spot wildlife during the morning game drive. You will receive a prepackaged breakfast. At around 11:30 am you will return to the lodge to collect your luggage and you will be taken back to Johannesburg by air-conditioned bus. On the way there will be a stop for lunch (own expense).

Expected time of arrival in Johannesburg is 5:30 PM – 6:00 PM, depending on the traffic. From OR Tambo airport you will fly back home or perhaps you will spend another night in Johannesburg before you continue your journey.

Make sure that your flight departs no earlier than 7:00 PM for domestic flights and 8:00 PM for international flights.
