General information

If you visit the Western Cape and want to go on safari, this is an extremely suitable safari park just a two-hour drive from Cape Town. The Aquila Game Reserve is the habitat of the entire Big Five and many other large and small African game.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the African Boma Restaurant or in the open lapa in good weather. You stay in a standard room in the safari lodge. For an additional charge upgrades to safari cottages or a premium room in the lodge are possible.

Upon request, you can use a transfer bus for a fee that will take you from Cape Town to the Aquila Game Reserve and back.

The predators do not roam freely in this area. You will find the lions in a protected area within the nature reserve.

Dagprogramma

Day 1: -

You are welcome from 12 a.m. to the Aquila Game Reserve.

12.00: arrival Aquila, you will be met with a delicious refreshing welcome drink. Then you can join us for a lunch buffet around 12.30 in the African Boma restaurant.

Your room will be ready at 2 p.m. in your cottage. You then have the opportunity to look around or relax by the swimming pool.

You leave for a game drive that lasts around 3:30 PM. From the 4×4 open safari vehicle the ranger tells you everything about the Big Five (elephant, buffalo, rhino, leopard and lion), the flora and fauna and the rock drawings of the San. During this game drive you will receive a drink and South African snacks.

At 7 p.m. you can use the dinner buffet in the restaurant. If the weather permits, you can go to the boma after dinner to admire the beautiful starry sky!

Standard Lodge Rooms

Enjoy hotel-style rooms in the safari lodge at Aquila! The rooms have two single beds or one double bed and have no view.
On request and at an additional cost these rooms can be combined with the premier lodge rooms into a family lodge room.

Subject to availability and at an additional cost, it is also possible to stay in one of the other accommodation types.

Premier Lodge Rooms

These rooms for 2 people have a spacious balcony with a view over the reserve and an ensuite bathroom with a bath and shower. Even from the bath you have a view over the animals!
On request, these rooms can be combined with the standard lodge rooms into a family lodge room.

Standard Luxury Cottages

Luxury Family Cottages
The semi-detached family cottages are situated a short distance from the kids play area and can accommodate 4 to 6 people.

Premier Luxury Cottages

You will experience the ultimate safari when you stay in one of the premier cottages on the hill. These cottages are suitable for 2 people and have both an ensuite bathroom inside and an outdoor shower. The Honeymoon cottage even has a jacuzzi!
