Krugerpark safari in open 4×4 vehicle

The journey starts between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. when you are picked up at your hotel in Johannesburg or Pretoria or at the OR Tambo airport. Your trip to the Kruger National Park begins! In Nelspruit you will meet the guide who will drive you further with a 4 × 4 safari vehicle.

Around lunchtime you will arrive in one of the camps and it is time to check in, have a bite to eat and stretch your legs. Later in the afternoon you will board the safari vehicle for a game drive. Before the gates of the camp close, you will arrive at your accommodation again and you can freshen up. Dinner is served in the restaurant around 7 p.m. and then early, because tomorrow it is early to get up.

During your safari it is possible to undertake optional activities such as a Bush Walk or to stay an extra night at the Care for Wild Rhino Sanctuary to see rhinos that are temporarily taken care of here. Ask us about the costs.

The day starts early as the early morning is an excellent time to see wildlife. Depending on the time of year, the gates of the Kruger Park will open before 6:00 a.m. Before leaving, drink a cup of coffee or tea with rusks (hard cookies / biscuits to dip into your hot drink, a South African tradition!)

You will stop for breakfast at one of the camps in the park around 9 a.m. You can also take a walk in the camp. Then your search for wild animals continues. You may encounter rhinos or elephants crossing the road. Your safari guide can also tell you everything about the plants and smaller animals of the Kruger Park, so don’t hesitate to ask anything! You will stop at a camp for lunch and you will return to your accommodation at the end of the afternoon. You can relax with a book, dive into the pool or perhaps even spot zebras or antelopes from the lodge. Dinner is served at 7 p.m.

The third day of your safari trip starts in the same way as the previous day. But make no mistake, no two days are the same among wild animals! Early in the morning when it is not that hot, you are more likely to see predators such as lions or perhaps a leopard. We stop for breakfast and then your guide will take you to other places in the park today and again share his knowledge with you and search for special animals and plants along the way. Around lunchtime you will return to the camp where you too can take it easy during the hottest hours of the day.

At 15:30 you head out again in the safari vehicle and return for dinner at the restaurant.

Your safari trip is coming to an end. In the morning you make another game drive and enjoy a final breakfast among the wild animals. You leave Kruger Park around 10:00 and the journey back to Johannesburg begins. You will arrive at the airport around 4.30 p.m. or you will be brought to your overnight address for the night.

Arrival time in Johannesburg depends on the traffic, take this into account if you want to fly back the same evening.
