You can discover Cape Town in many ways. To make sure you see everything, you can use the Hop on Hop off sightseeing Cape Town tour. The red double-decker buses drive you around so that you don’t have to venture into city traffic and can take a good look around you on the way. There are four different routes that you can use: the red, blue, purple and yellow ‘loop’. The biggest advantage of the Hop on Hop off bus is that you can decide yourself where and how long you want to stop somewhere. At all places of interest and along the route there are bus stops where you can get on and off. You will receive an earphone in your own language, so that you can also follow the explanation. The red city tour
During the Red City Tour you will stop at the 12 sights below. The bus passes every 15 minutes and the entire travel time of this route takes approximately 90 minutes. Via headphones you can get information about the sights en route, you can choose information in Dutch. A big advantage is that you can decide where you want to get off and how long you want to stay at each destination! The route stops at the cable car to the top of Table Mountain (entrance ticket exclusive), among other things.
Two Oceans Aquarium: Here you will find many animals from two different oceans. It is a very popular attraction in Cape Town and is very popular with children.
The Clock Tower: A historic landmark at the V&A (Victoria and Alfred) Waterfront, located in the port of Cape Town. Here you will also find many nice restaurants on the water and shops.
Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC): Important business center in Cape Town where many events and trade fairs are held.
Long Street – Cape Town Tourism: Here you can go for all tourist information about Cape Town.

Camps Bay: Camps Bay is a place that you must see. It is a beautiful area with many nice bars and shops and a beautiful beach.
President Hotel:Visit this luxurious hotel, the perfect “resort in the city” where you can enjoy a well-deserved break.
Sea Point: You will be dropped off at the cosmopolitan atmosphere of Sea Point. This lively area in Cape Town is located just outside the center. Here you will find many bars, restaurants, shops and a pleasant promenade along the coast.
Winchester Mansions: You will be treated like a friend and can get acquainted with delicious wines on the cozy terraces.
Green Point:Visit the Green Point Lighthouse or walk along the promenade where you have a beautiful view of Table Bay
You can also take advantage of the free guided walking tour through the old city center of Cape Town. Guides can be found at the City Sightseeing office on Long Street (bus stop number 5). You can recognize the guides by the red clothing and red umbrellas, the official language for this excursion is English. The free walking tours depart daily at 10:30, 12:00, 13:30, 15:00 and 16:00. In addition to this 90-minute historical walking tour through the old city center, there is also a free walk through the colorful Bo-Kaap district (also departs from 81 Long Street, times: 10:30 am, 1:30 pm and 4:00 pm). You do not have to make a reservation to participate in these tours. You pay the guide a tip at the end of the walk, no further costs.
The blue mini Peninsula tour
During the Blue Mini Penninsula Tour you will stop at the 12 attractions below. The bus passes every 20 minutes past a stop, so that you can board to continue. Part of this route overlaps with the red tour.
V&A Waterfront – Two Oceans Aquarium: Here you will find many animals from two different oceans. It is a very popular attraction in Cape Town.
Foreshore: Located between the historic city center and the modern V&A Waterfront. For example, pay a visit from here to the CTICC.
Long Street – Cape Town Tourism: Here you can go for all tourist information about Cape Town.
Mount Nelson Hotel:
Kirstenbosch Gardens: Visit the botanical gardens and enjoy the beautiful nature. A wonderful place for a walk among native South African trees, flowers and plants.
Constantia Nek: The start of the South African wine route! Here you can switch to the purple wine tour if desired.
World of Birds: During this stop you can enjoy more than 400 different bird species, a nice stop for children and bird lovers.

These buses also pass by a stop every 20 minutes and take you to various wine farms where you can do wine tasting.
Constantia Nek: The start of your wine tour! You visit three different wine farms.
Groot Constantia:The oldest wine farm in the area that makes many award-winning wines.
Eagles’ Nest: Not far from Groot Constantia is this beautiful wine farm in the Constantia Valley.
Beau Constantia: Located on Constantia Main Road with stunning views of Table Mountain and the ocean.
The yellow Downtown City tour
These buses run every 15 minutes through the center and there are 7 stops where you can get in and out:
Long street:a bustling city center with restaurants, bars and shops. Here you will also find an office for the Hop on Hop off bus. St. George Cathedral in Queen Victoria Street. at the SA Museum, the Jewish Museum and District Six Museum.
The latter is very interesting for those who want to know more about life in the time of apartheid for the non-whites.
Multi-day tickets
There are also tickets available that are valid for two days (premium tickets), or even for three days (deluxe tickets). With these tickets you can use the above routes for several days, so you have more time to view something along the way.
