Pretoria, the capital of South Africa, is a city full of history and beautiful buildings. In the spring (October) the city shrouds itself in purple blossom from the Jakaranda trees. During this excursion you will visit the Union Buildings, the government headquarters, among other things. Here you can take a stroll through the beautifully landscaped terrace gardens where you will also find a statue of former President Nelson Mandela. Then you visit the Paul Kruger House museum where
you get information about this fascinating man and his life. The museum displays furniture and personal belongings of the Kruger family. The world famous Kruger National Park is named after him.
When you reach Kerkplein you will see a few examples of beautiful architecture in the city such as the Old Council Hall, the Palace of Justice and the theater. During the tour you can ask the guide questions about the buildings you see and the African culture, and your questions will be answered with great pleasure.
Another major attraction is the Voortrekker Monument. The large square stone monument stands on a hill in the Voortrekker nature reserve. The monument is set up as a museum that pays particular attention to the Great Trek the Boers made, from the Cape over the Drakensberg to Pretoria in search of freedom. An impressive journey that is beautifully displayed in carved wall plates. You can climb the building with a staircase or take the elevator for a beautiful view of Pretoria from the Voortrekker Monument.
You can make this excursion in the morning or afternoon, the morning tour starts between 9:00 am and 9:30 am and the afternoon tour between 1:30 pm and 2:00 pm
