You will spend a whole day on a safari in the world-famous Kruger National Park, the habitat of 147 different animal species, 500 bird species, 336 different trees, 49 fish species, 34 amphibians and 114 different reptiles. The game drive, per 4WD safari vehicle, is led by an expert guide who will tell you a lot about the flora and fauna that you will see along the way.
The various safari vehicles have mutual contact to pass on the locations where wild animals are hiding to each other. Because you go on a safari for a day, it is possible to cover a fairly large distance and therefore have a better chance of seeing as many members of the famous Big Five as possible. Nevertheless, the guides try to leave the beaten track as much as possible and to avoid places where many vehicles stop.
The conservation fees and mineral water during the safari are included in the price.
You will be picked up early in the morning so that you are in the Kruger Park at sunrise, when many animals can be seen. The starting point is Hazyview and you will be picked up there between 5:00 and 5:30. After a morning of wild spotting, one of the camps will stop for lunch, you can buy something to eat here or bring something yourself. After lunch, the game drive continues and you leave the park again between 3:30 PM and 4:30 PM.
The Kruger Park is located in a malaria area, click here for more information about protection against malaria.
Make sure you take your passport with you, this will be requested at the entrance gates.
