From Hout Bay you can optionally take a boat trip to a sea lion colony. Once you have arrived in the nature reserve, you can decide for yourself whether you want to take a long or short bicycle ride. At Cape Point you can take a 30-minute hike to the Cape of Good Hope. In the reserve you will receive a picnic lunch and finally you will visit a penguin colony.

Via Clifton, Camps Bay and Llandudno you drive to Hout Bay. Here you can take an optional half-hour boat trip (costs +/- R 80 pp). You sail to the sea lion colony. You may also admire whales in season. The tour continues via Chapman’s Peak Drive to Simons Town. Here you can view the large penguin colony at Boulder’s Beach.
The moment you are in the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, the bus is exchanged for a mountain bike and you can admire the nature reserve in complete freedom. The van stays behind the cyclists, so you can board when you are tired of cycling.
The picnic lunch is taken on the beach or in the nature reserve.
The next stop is Cape Point, where you will climb the lighthouse on foot. Then you can walk from Cape Point to Cape of Good Hope. On the way back to Cape Town you will drive via Scarborough and Kommetjie (pronounced Kommekie).
