South Africa tour suitable for wheelchair users

Today you will depart from Johannesburg at 7 a.m. and spend a total of four days in the Kruger National Park. The route takes you through a hilly area and you stop for lunch on the way before you enter the park on the south-western side. The Kruger Park is an area of two million hectares where during game drives you can see many other animal species, birds and plants during the game drives. The first two nights you sleep in it Skukuza Main Camp in a bungalow / chalet (depending on availability, if necessary, a similar camp in the park is used). Lunch and dinner are included today.

Depending on your flight times you can stay the night before departure in Johannesburg near the airport so that you can leave early the next morning, ask us about the possibilities.

Safari, safari, safari! In the coming days you will explore the Kruger Park and its residents well. Game drives take place in the (early) morning and afternoon. You will see that the park offers a variety of habitats for the different animal species,from forests to dry plains. It remains fascinating to see wild animals in their natural environment. Keep your camera and binoculars close at hand! You spend the night on a day three and four  Satara Rest camp in the Krugerpark (or similar). All meals are included these days.

Optional excursion: night game drive (if possible, costs on request).

After breakfast and an early game drive you leave the Kruger Park and drive to a private game reserve. This reserve is known for the rehabilitation of wild animals. Young animals that have been abandoned by their mothers are also magnified by hand. You will stay here for three nights,during these days, game drives take place in the reserve both in the morning and in the afternoon. Game drives are carried out in the safari vehicles of the reserve and you are not in your wheelchair (there is a hoist available). There are extra belts available for travelers with a poor balance. Bush walks / wheels are also possible (weather dependent, sometimes the ground is too wet or too dry for wheelchair users).

All meals are included, dinner is served around the campfire, African style!

Please note: changes to this travel program may occur due to availability of accommodation, weather conditions etc. Sometimes this part of the journey is carried out in reverse order.

Today you can relax from all experiences in the African bush. Your accommodation is located in the village of Noordhoek at the foot of the spectacular Chapman’s Peak Drive on the Cape Peninsula. In warm weather you can relax by the property’s swimming pool or visit the beautiful Fishhoek beach. Breakfast is included during your stay.

Please note: the guide will not be with you the entire time in the coming days. The four rooms at this guesthouse are specially equipped for wheelchair users and the hostess is happy to assist you. There is a spacious lounge with a fireplace and from the veranda you have a beautiful view and you can enjoy the beautiful African sunsets.

The next three days you will take a tour through all the highlights of Cape Town and the surrounding area. All overnight stays are at the Epic Enabled Guesthouse in Noordhoek and breakfast is included, other meals are for your own account.

You will visit Table Mountain, the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, make a tour across the Cape Peninsula to Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope, visit the Boulders Beach penguin colony at Simon’s Town and enjoy a wine tasting at two different wine farms nearby Stellenbosch.

In the evening of day 12 you will be brought to the airport for your return flight (transfer not included). It is of course also possible to extend your stay by a few more days in order to enjoy the beautiful Western Cape Province to explore further, for example make use of the five-day tour through the Western Cape suitable for wheelchair users.

This trip is conducted in a group of a minimum of two and a maximum of 14 people. Depending on the group size and the number of participants in a wheelchair, this journey is carried out with a Mercedes Benz overland safari truck or a Mercedes Benz wheelchair bus.

During the safari part of this trip, nutritious meals are prepared by the tour guide or accommodation and the dinner can be pasta, bbq or traditional African dishes such as “potjie” (meat and vegetables cooked in a large pot and served with rice). If you have special dietary requirements, please mention this when booking. For your own account you can also use restaurants in the camps where possible. Only breakfast is included during your stay in Cape Town.
