Together with the Dullstroom area in Mpumalanga, the district of Underberg is a top location for fly fishing. There are more options here than anywhere else in the country, not incomprehensible if you know that the ‘Trout fish club’ has fishing rights here over 160 kilometers of river and 60 dams.
The area is also called the Sani Saunter, a tourist route through this great area that includes the villages of Himeville and Bulwer. It is a paradise of untouched beauty, certainly for those who enjoy active outdoor vacations. Hikers and hikers will enjoy the view of mountains, valleys, rivers and the clean air. The Sani Saunters route runs from Loteni in the north to Bushmans Nek in the south. The rivers here are perfect for swimming, white water rafting and canoeing.
