Schotia Game Reserve

Schotia is the oldest private game reserve in the Eastern Cape and here you can enjoy Africa at its best. It was the first private park where the lions roam free and there is a very good chance that you will see them here. In Schotia you can go in search of the Big Five with a ranger, in an open 4×4 safari vehicle. In addition to their majestic lions, you will find buffalo, zebras, crocodiles, jackals, hippos, giraffes, ostriches and many species of antelopes.

Schotia borders on the west side of the Addo Elephant National Park, with the great advantage of a private park. The possibility to get close to the animals so that you can get to know the animal life of Africa in peace. The evening game drive introduces you to the nocturnal sounds of the bush and images when caught in a spotlight.
The meal is an adventure in itself if you sit down with your ranger for a delicious traditional South African dinner at the Boma. The thatched Boma, the campfire and the Schotia trees give the place a cozy atmosphere. But of course, the great stories that are circulating here really enhance the atmosphere.
