Comfort Trips

A trip for nature and wildlife lovers

This special and impressive safari trip will introduce you to the untouched nature and wildlife in the northern part of South Africa. Discover the wonderful Greater Kruger Park by 4×4 car or on foot.

In the wetland area of St. Lucia Wetlands you may prefer to keep your feet dry during a boat trip. You will visit Eswatini (formerly Swaziland), take a hiking trip in the Drakensberg and go 3 days in a 4×4 through untouched Lesotho. A trip including meals in a simple accommodation. So much special has been incorporated into this trip that it will leave an overwhelming impression.

Bus trip through the ‘Fascinating South Africa’

Do you want to see all the highlights without having to drive yourself? Then this is the perfect tour for you! In a small group you travel through South Africa by minibus under the guidance of an expert guide. This guide will tell you everything about the places and sights you visit.
The tour consists of two parts. The first part starts and ends in Johannesburg. During this part you will see the beautiful Drakensberg, continue to St. Lucia and the Hluhluwe Park, where you will search for, among other things, rhinos. Then you drive through eSwatini (formerly Swaziland), where you learn a lot about the colorful culture of this small country, to the iconic Kruger Park. You will of course make a number of game drives here. Finally, the well-known Panorama route cannot be missed. You drive back to Johannesburg and fly to George together.

The second part of this trip starts in George. You can also visit the highlights on the Garden Route! Wilderness, Tsitsikamma and Knysna are not missing. But you also leave the coast to visit Oudtshoorn, the ostrich capital of South Africa. In addition, there is Hermanus, the wine region where you can taste the wines that South Africa is so famous for. You end with the Cape Peninsula.

You travel in a small group of maximum 10 people. Everyone has a guaranteed window location. Many meals are included. In the travel schedule you can see exactly which meals are and which are not included.

Please note: you stay in comfortable lodges and camps. However, the Skukuza Restcamp in Kruger National Park is basic. Would you like to stick a stay in Cape Town on your trip? This is no problem, ask us about the possibilities!

Cape Town, Route 62 and the Garden Route on a motorbike

Motorcycling in South Africa appeals to the imagination and the country is ready. If you choose “Off the road” or “On the road” trips, both ways will ensure a spectacular holiday.
A beautiful motorcycle trip where you, the motorcyclists so loved Route 62 ride with its beautiful mountain passes. You also drive the well-known Garden Route along the coast and through beautiful green nature areas. You will sleep in the Cape Winelands and in the ostrich capital of Oudtshoorn and on the southernmost point of the continent of Africa. You end the trip with a beautiful safari experience in Addo Elephant National Park!

Winelands, Karoo, coast and the “mother city” Cape Town, this trip has it all! Motorbike rental is exclusive, click here for more info about renting a motorbike: motorbike rental.

Easy selfdrive through the Western Cape (comfort)

This trip will introduce you to a part of the Western Cape province. You visit beautiful and relaxing nature reserves, wine-producing regions, but also the only place in the world where rooibos tea is grown. You can go hiking and look for rock paintings in the fascinating Cederberg and get some fresh air on the West Coast on the beaches of small fishing villages. Culture and history are discussed in various historic villages such as Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Tulbagh. A visit to a Big Five safari park is also included in this trip and you end up in bustling Cape Town. The distances you drive are small and therefore this trip has a relaxed character. You spend the night in beautiful and varied 4-star accommodations.

Explore the nature of the Western and Eastern Cape (Comfort)

This beautiful journey will introduce you to the gems of the Eastern and Western Cape provinces. The journey begins in Cape Town where you can visit the sights such as Table Mountain and Robben Island at your leisure. Afterwards you will spend most of the night in quiet, small villages surrounded by beautiful nature reserves. During this trip you can get a breath of fresh air at the beach, visit whale watching (seasonal), visit wineries and impressive caves, walk through beautiful green forests and along an unspoilt coastline and look for the Big Five in two game reserves.
For those who like being active in nature (hiking, walking, kayaking or simply enjoying the view), this is a very suitable trip.

Along the Garden Route & on safari

This fun trip is ideal when you are traveling with (small) children! You start in Cape Town and stay three nights just outside the city, in the quiet town of Noordhoek.

Enjoy the beach, wine countries, but also the city! Then there are some fantastic nights on the program! This way you get a real ‘glamping’ experience (camping, but in a luxurious way), you look for the Big Five during safaris in malaria-free areas, enjoy nature and the beach along the beautiful and famous Garden Route.

Read more about traveling to South Africa with (small) children here.

‘Glamping’ in Botswana

The next 9 days you will go on safari in Botswana. You go camping, but just a little bit differently! The camp is set up for you at every destination. You sleep in a 3×3 m dome tent with real beds, bed linen, a bedside table with a light, your own ‘bush shower’ and a chemical toilet. When you leave, the camp is dismantled for you again. So you don’t have to think about anything yourself. The excitement and charm of wild camping, but comfortable when staying overnight in a lodge or tented camp.

Highlights of South Africa

A beautiful 26 day tour of the highlights of South Africa! During many round trips through this ‘World in one country’ you often fly from Durban / Kruger / Johannesburg to Port Elizabeth / George / Cape Town, but not during this trip! This trip also introduces you to the relatively unspoilt and ‘wild’ Wild Coast! An area that is often skipped. And that’s a shame because, as you will also notice, this area has a lot to offer! You will find empty beaches, lagoons, bays and nice little coastal towns here. This is also the ‘home’ for the Xhosa. When you drive through this area, you will see the hills dotted with their rondavels.

But the Wild Coast is of course not the only ‘highlight’ you visit! A visit to the Panorama route, Kruger National Park and eSwatini (formerly Swaziland) should not be missed, just like Hluhluwe’s rhinos! The beautiful Garden Route is also on the program, where you can enjoy forests, mountains, the coast and of course the famous wine region. You conclude this wonderful journey with a two-night stay in Cape Town.

Meet the Garden Route and Route 62!

Varied landscapes with beautiful coastlines, dense forests, open dry plains, impressive mountain passes, caves, wild animals and vineyards are some of the things that you will see and experience during this beautiful tour along the well-known Garden Route and perhaps equally well-known Route 62.

After an extensive introduction to the ‘Mother City’ Cape Town with its iconic Table Mountain, you can indulge in culinary delights in Franschhoek with its renowned wine farms and excellent restaurants. Stroll through the charming coastal town of Knysna, look for elephants and other wildlife at the Garden Route Game Lodge and Addo Elephant National Park and enjoy the beautiful sandy beach of Jeffrey’s Bay before returning via Route 62 to Cape Town.

N.B. This tour can be booked in three different categories: with accommodation in good 3-star accommodations (budget), in comfortable 4-star accommodations (comfort) and in luxury 5-star accommodations (luxury). In the day to day program you can read more about the different accommodation options. The published prices of this tour are based on accommodation in budget accommodations. Contact us if you want to make the trip based on comfort or luxury accommodation.

Private tour to Cape Town and Timbavati Private Nature Reserve

Two absolute highlights in one trip! And that under the guidance of a professional guide and with your own company!

Explore Cape Town on a short city tour and get to know the cosiness of this city. In addition, there is sufficient time to further explore the city itself. The peninsula is also extensively visited.

On to the next highlight! Become a Big Five expert in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve safari mecca, located in the Greater Kruger National Park. As there are no more gates between Kruger and the reserves of the Greater Kruger National Park, the animals can move around freely in an area that is now immensely large!

Please note: this private tour can depart daily with a minimum of two participants. However, you always travel with your own company.

Safari through the north of South Africa (comfort)

This trip is a nice introduction to the African Bush and hopefully you will see the famous Big Five during safaris. Travel through the North of South Africa and be the first to visit the fascinating Pilanesberg Game Reserve. Then you drive to the wooded and mountainous area around Tzaneen where you will see many subtropical fruit plantations along the way. You then spend the night in the Timbavati Game Reserve that borders the Kruger Park. During your stay here all meals and game drives are included as well as during your stay in Pilanesberg. The trip can easily be expanded with one of our other travel options.

Selfdrive along the Wild Coast

In seven days you will discover the relatively unknown Wild Coast. This area is often incorrectly skipped during a trip. A pity, because this is really a beautiful, still untouched area with a ‘wild’ coastline. You will find empty beaches, lagoons, bays and nice little coastal towns.

This is also ‘home’ for the Xhosa. When you drive through this area, you will see the hills dotted with their rondavels. Enjoy the peace, freedom and the vast landscape here!

This tour is very suitable as an extension to a journey along the Garden Route, for example the 7 day comfortable car trip or the 15 day  comfortable trip through the nature

Selfdrive in the Drakensberg (comfort)

This car trip is the perfect introduction to the beautiful Drakensberg and the famous Sani Pass. You travel with your own rental car through breathtaking landscapes and spend the night in comfortable accommodation. Enjoy the beautiful nature during a walking or hiking tour through Royal Natal N.P. and experience the rugged untouched landscapes on a 4×4 vehicle-guided day trip on the famous Sani Pass to the Kingdom of Lesotho Finally a stop in the picturesque Clarens and the beautiful Golden Gate Highlands park. For a number of accommodations, in addition to breakfast, dinner is also included.

Selfdrive ‘Kort Afrikaans (comfort)

During this short car trip, you can explore Cape Town, the wine region and the “whale capital” Hermanus at your leisure. Experience the city life of the “Mothercity” Cape Town, where you can experience and see everything and the cozy Cape Town village street of Stellenbosch with its vast wine countries and then the coastal town of Hermanus where beach walking may become your new hobby. Nothing is necessary, everything is allowed and “Relaxing” is the keyword for this trip!
You can easily combine this round trip with one of our other wonderful trips. For example, you can fly on to Johannesburg and visit the Kruger Park. For example, how about a 6-day safari through the Kruger Park per open 4 × 4?

Selfdrive ‘The world in one country’ (comfort)

In a relatively short time you can see a lot of beautiful South Africa during this trip. The journey takes 21 days, but can be extended and / or extended if desired. South Africa is also called “The World in one Country” and during this trip from Cape Town to Johannesburg you will understand why. You will visit both Cape Town and the Cape Peninsula, the Winelands, Route 62, ostrich capital Oudtshoorn, Knysna, Garden Route National Park, Schotia Game Reserve and Addo Elephant National Park.

After a domestic flight from Port Elizabeth to Durban, where a new rental car is waiting for you, you continue along the Dolphin coast and Zululand Game Reserve to the kingdom of Eswatini (formerly Swaziland). Finally, you will visit both the famous Kruger Park and the beautiful Panorama Route before you drive to Johannesburg where your journey ends.

Selfdrive through fascinating Namibia & Botswana

You can also end this trip in Kasane or Maun. Ask us for a customized program.

This trip combines two completely different countries. The dry and vast Namibia, with its deserts and sand dunes and the safari paradise Botswana. But a visit to these countries would not be complete without a visit to the largest waterfalls in the world: the Victoria Falls. A stay on the Zimbabwean side of the falls is included

Selfdrive through Namibia

Namibia is about 20 times the size of the Netherlands, but there are around 2.3 million people living there. It is a very sparsely populated country with mainly a desert climate.

You will experience this for yourself during this ‘tour’ through Namibia !. You will mainly drive through dry, arid and vast landscapes, often without encountering another car! What an experience! During this fascinating journey you will visit the many highlights of Namibia. The highlights are scattered throughout the country and the distances are long. Along the way you will come across a village every now and then. Therefore always ensure a full tank, enough water and something to eat. And especially enjoy the peace, freedom and the view!

Selfdrive through the Kruger Park, Eswatini, Hluhluwe and the Drakensberg (comfort)

A wonderful introduction trip to the northern part of South Africa. You stay in fine accommodation and enjoy unparalleled natural beauty and wildlife. You will visit various game parks including the Kruger Park, spend a night in the Kingdom of Lesotho and visit the impressive Drakensberg. The breathtaking nature of South Africa and Big Five safaris are central to this journey that can also be combined perfectly with a journey through the south of South Africa.

Selfdrive to South Africa for those who want something different

This tour is very suitable for anyone who likes to go ‘off the beaten track’. The route is certainly not standard and takes you to special locations. You will visit the Drakensberg, Zululand, the Elephant coast, Amakhosi Private Game Reserve, Eswatini and Kruger National Park. The journey begins and ends in Johannesburg and can be extended as desired. Do you also want to discover the unusual paths of Limpopo, for example? Another nice idea is to combine the trip with a domestic flight to Cape Town to explore this beautiful and totally different area. This way you can spend a few days in the city and then discover the wine region and the famous Garden Route. Let us know, we will be happy to customize this trip for you.

Selfdrive trip through the versatile Cape (comfort)

The Western Cape province is a popular destination for many travelers and this trip takes place for the most part there. You start in Cape Town where you can choose from the wide range of sights and activities, and then spend the night in the midst of the wine countries near the historic village of Stellenbosch. After a beautiful drive through the African landscape you will arrive in Oudtshoorn, known for its ostrich farms and special caves. In Knysna you can enjoy the green forests and beautiful coastline and end in the Schotia Game Reserve among the wild animals.

This trip can be combined perfectly with other travel packages or travel components, ask us about the possibilities.
