SANParks Storms River Mouth Rest Camp

Description accommodation :

Located on the eastern side of the Tsitsikamma park on the dramatic coastline, between the hills with forests and the restless waves of the Indian Ocean, you will find the Storms River Mouth Rest Camp. With a little luck from your accommodation you can see whales and dolphins playing in the waves. The area full of beautiful nature is not only a paradise for humans but certainly also for the many birds. You can walk, take a boat trip and relax on the beach in the camp. But there are plenty of adventurous hikes and outings to take if you look a little further than your accommodation!. From here the well-known 42-kilometer hiking tour starts: the Otter Trail! Guests can choose from different types of accommodation such as chalets, forest cabins, oceanette cabins and family cottages. And there is also a caravan park. Camping pitches use the shared toilet blocks and washing facilities. Maximum 6 people per pitch, 1 means of transport and 1 tent or tent on caravan or camper.

Not all places have electricity. Chalets for 2,3 or 4 people – Open plan living room / kitchen 1 bedroom with two single beds, a 2-person sofa bed in the room (only suitable for children under 12) or 1 or 2 single beds in the living room, bathroom with shower, toilet and sink . Oceanettes, located on the ocean.

General information Opening hours of the park are between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. The Storms River Rest camp has a souvenir shop where you can also do some basic shopping. There is an a la carte restaurant, where you can also have a drink. There is a washing machine / ironing room (irons not available). Guests can use the swimming pool. For gas you have to go to Storms River Bridge, this is about 25 kilometers from the camp. Fishing in the Tsitsikamma section of the Garden Route National park is prohibited! We provide a healthy meal for over 220 kids 4 times a week., All members are employed from the local surrounding communities. Stormsriver Adventures started an HIV Aids education and awareness program and our staff become ambassadors in the community, Stormsriver Adventures runs an animal education and awareness program for the local community involving the kid.
