General information

Combine the best of 3 African countries (South Africa, Swaziland and Mozambique) in this fantastically beautiful and adventurous journey. You go on safari in the most beautiful game parks in search of wildlife, enjoy white beaches and an azure blue sea where you can snorkel, dive or relax and get to know the locals.

You will visit the Hlane Royal National Park, the world famous Kruger National Park, Bazaruto Archipelago and the particularly beautiful landscapes of the Panorama route to reveal a few highlights.
During this trip you can choose to stay in double domed tents or in double rooms with private bathroom. You will find more information in the itinerary. During this tour it is expected that you will help to set up the tents if you opt for the camping trip, packing the truck and preparing meals. A flexible attitude is required.

Children up to 7 years old are not allowed. Children from 8 to 12 years on request. In total, a maximum of 2 children between the ages of 13 and 15 can go on a tour. Children under 12 years old are not allowed in the Okavango Delta
We advise you to arrive one day before the start of the tour and to book your return flight one day after the trip. You can book these overnight stays with us before or after the trip.

Travel schedule -

The travel schedule as described below is based on the program including activity package. If you do not book an activity package, the travel schedule will therefore deviate from the schedule described below. We recommend that you purchase the activity package prior to your trip (when booking) to avoid disappointment on the spot. If you book the activities in advance, you are assured of participation.

This trip will visit the following provinces and countries: Swaziland, Mozambique, Gauteng and Mpumalanga.

Day 1: Krugerpark (D)
At 07:00 in the morning you leave from Belvedere Estate in Johannesburg towards the Kruger Park. Get to know the South African landscape and stop en route for lunch (for your own account). As soon as you enter the Kruger National Park by truck, the search for wild animals can begin! In the afternoon you can optionally participate in a Sundowner Drive. Your guide can assist you in the morning with booking this activity.

Day 2: Kruger National Park (B, D)
An early start to the day today! With an area of almost 20,000 km², the Kruger Park is the largest game park in South Africa. Your travel guide will take you all day to spot as much wildlife as possible. Kruger National Park is among other things the habitat of the Big Five (elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard). From the adventure truck with its large windows you have a beautiful view of the landscape. Travelers who have booked the Activity Package will enter the park today with an open 4×4 safari vehicle. In this way you can better sense the smells and sounds of the bush. In the evening there is an option to make another Sundowner game drive.

Day 3: Krugerpark, Panorama Route (B, D)
Early birds can optionally participate in a fantastic bush walk through the park with an expert guide. It is an exciting experience to spot wildlife on foot. During the walk you will also learn a lot about the plants, trees and learn to recognize the footsteps of the various animals, among other things. A little later in the morning, the entire group leaves for the Panorama Route, just outside Kruger Park. Here you will visit the Bourke’s Luck Potholes, Three Rondavels and God’s Window. A day on which you should certainly not forget your camera to shoot beautiful pictures of the breathtaking scenery.

Day 4: Swaziland – Hlane Royal National Park (B, L, D)
While searching for members of the Big Five, you drive today to the southern exit of the Kruger Park. Have your passport ready because you are entering the kingdom of Swaziland. Today’s destination is the Hlane Royal National Park. Hlane was originally the private hunting ground of the royal family of Swaziland, but is now managed by Big Game Parks.

Day 5: Hlane Royal National Park (B, L, D)
This morning you can optionally make a game drive with an experienced guide, in particular the ‘Rhino Game Drive’ is recommended. A visit to Swaziland is not complete without getting to know the people and their interesting culture. This afternoon you will be invited by the Chief to visit his village and find out more about the Swazis.

Day 6: Maputo (B)
You leave Swaziland and cross the border to Mozambique, a country known for its azure blue Indian Ocean, beautiful beaches and excellent diving and snorkeling opportunities. You stop in the capital Maputo where you can first check in at the hotel and then have a nice lunch in a local restaurant (own account). Maputo has an interesting mix of cultures and the architecture also has many different faces. The guide can give you more information during a guided walk through the city. Of course you also visit a local market where you may be able to buy some souvenirs. In the evening you will dine at a local restaurant (for your own account) and you will have the opportunity to discover the nightlife of this city.

Day 7: Inhambane – Barra Beach (B, L, D)
Today you have a long drive to the Inhambane District. You drive north along the coast and on the way you will see many small villages and plantations where coconuts and cashews are grown. The long drive is definitely worth it when you arrive at the beautiful palm-lined Barra Beach. You will stay here for three nights so that you have enough time to relax and participate in optional activities. Tonight you can enjoy a delicious traditional dinner.

Dag 8: Inhambane (B, L, D)
With two full days you have plenty of opportunity to relax and enjoy the warm water of the Indian Ocean. The beaches of Barra are safe for swimming. You can also participate in various optional activities. For example, you can go snorkeling, diving or take a quad bike safari.

Day 9: Inhambane – Tofo (B, D)
Today a short drive to another very famous beach in Mozambique: Tofo. Here too you can safely swim and snorkel or visit a cozy beach bar or the market.

Day 10: Vilanculos (B, L, D)
This morning a stop is made in Inhambane where you can take a walk through the historic streets. This used to be a place where slaves were traded. Here you will also visit a cozy African market. Adventurous travelers can sail to the other side of the bay with a traditional sailboat, a ‘Dhow’. This trip is a real ‘local experience’. However, you can also drive the truck to Maxixe where the Dhow ferries moor. Today’s final destination is Vilanculos.

Day 11: Bazaruto Archipelago National Park Excursion (B, L, D)
Today the Bazaruto excursion is on the program (part of the activity package). You sail with the traditional sailing boat (Dhow) to the islands of the Bazaruto Archipelago and have the entire day to snorkel, swim and relax. The Bazaruto is one of Southern Africa’s largest marine reserves, a protected area where underwater life is spectacular. Snorkeling is the best way to discover this area.

Day 12: Xai Xai District (B, L, D)
After you have been able to relax in the last few days, today is a long drive again. In the afternoon you will arrive in the Xai Xai District and you can take a nice walk on the beach to stretch your legs or enjoy the sunset with a sundowner.

Day 13: Malelane (B, D)
Whoever gets up early today can enjoy the beautiful sunrise one last time. Then you travel via Maputo to South Africa where you will spend the night near the town of Malelane.

Day 14: Johannesburg (B)
After breakfast you will drive back to Johannesburg today where the journey ends at Belvedere Estate. If you wish, you and your fellow travelers can enjoy a traditional South African braai (bbq) here and / or stay overnight to end the trip (not included).

You take a transfer to the airport and fly back to the Netherlands (transfer and flight not included) or continue your holiday in South Africa. Ask us about the possibilities.
