Afternoon / evening safari to Schotia Game Reserve
A nice safari option in a malaria-free area on the Eastern Cape near Port Elizabeth. Even if you have limited time during your holiday in South Africa, this afternoon and evening safari still offers the opportunity to spot the wild animals that Africa has to offer. The Schotia Game Reserve offers a very good opportunity to see lions in their natural environment.
Schotia is the oldest private game viewing reserve in the Eastern Cape and offers the best opportunity to see lions in the wild. The safari starts in the afternoon because at the end of the afternoon and at the beginning of the evening you have the best chance of seeing lions. You can also find white rhinos, zebras, crocodiles, hippos, giraffes, jackals and various types of antelopes in the park. You will be driven around in an open 4×4 safari vehicle.

Afternoon At 3 p.m. the game drive departs in an open 4WD safari vehicle through the Schotia Park. Your ranger will look for giraffes, rhinos, zebras, ostriches and the many antelopes.
After a short stop around 17:00 for a drink, the exciting part begins: the search for the lions! The ranger will also look at hippos and various nocturnal animals.
Evening In the dark you come to the open Lapa where the fire is burning and the drinks are already waiting for you. An extensive dinner buffet with delicious traditional South African dishes is served, followed by dessert, coffee and tea. After dinner (at approximately 8:45 pm – 9:00 pm) you will be taken back to your car, the end of an unforgettable day. Don’t forget to keep searching for nocturnal animals on the go!
